IOWA'S SENSUOUS CZECH VISIONARY,

Dear Sister, I am still having very little luck with my incantations. I am following the instructions very carefully, but nothing happens.
Confused and frustrated in Keokuk
Dear Confused, I sense that you are in fact doing as you say, carefully following the spell, but perhaps in your enthusiasm you are forgetting the period of consecration prior to casting. This can take several days or even weeks, depending on the spell, and usually involves careful regulation of all ordinary activities. Abstain for a full quarter of the moon from all sexual encounters, and make your earnest pledge of alliance with the spirit or power you have aligned yourself at noon and midnight of each day of that quarter. During this period, you must also disrobe as seldom as possible, sleep little, and concentrate continually on your undertaking. If you cut your nails or hair during this consecration period, it is necessary to carefully collect them and burn the severed bits or great harm could be done to you by evil spirits using them for their own ends. On the final day, bathe in consecrated water.
Kasi, With October 31 fast approaching, I wonder could you give some guidance on magik circles.
Tricks not Treats in Cedar Rapids
Dear Tricks, The circle is used to concentrate the magician's power, as well as protect against attacks by evil spirits. Careful attention must be paid to do the circle correctly, success of the spell and the life of the caster depend upon it. It is almost always 9 feet in diameter with an outer circle six inches larger and an inner circle one foot shorter. Between the two circles are written magic words, dependent upon the aiding spirit called and the spell desired. Often the secret names of God are written and significant symbols such as pentacle, or equilateral triangle. The circle itself should be made of chalk or vermilion and made by the caster himself. Remember to draw the circle with a new sword, leave an opening through which to enter, and then close the circle completely! Once inside, perfume it with mace, and erect an altar facing east which must be covered in white linen and support two white candles. For further details, I suggest obtaining a copy of the Grimorium Verum .
Dear Kasi I want to write magical sigils, but have been unable to find the recipe for Magik Ink. Can you help?
Why Can't Johnny Write Magik in Chariton?
Dear Johnny, Every year or so someone writes in for this mixture and I am happy to reprint it here:
10 oz. of gall nuts, 3 oz. of green copperas, 3 oz. of rock alum (or gum Arabic).
Blend into a powder and mix with river water. Remember that although pacts should
be written in this special ink, the document must be signed in blood or is not valid.
(As to human law, I suggest checking with a lawyer about the validity of blood signatures...I
don't make contracts with entities who show up in court.) |
