MARTHA AMELIA FULTON was born in Delaware County, Ohio, 14 FEBRUARY 1838, the fifth of five children born to ALEXANDER and ELIZA JONES FULTON.
At the age of six, MARTHA AMELIA FULTON moved to Fairfield, Iowa Territory with her parents, ALEXANDER and ELIZA JONES FULTON, and her brothers; ROBERT J., GILBERT LAFAYETTE, JOSEPH WARREN and WILLIAM C.
In the Fairfield Census of 1850 we find MARTHA A. FULTON listed in the Alexander Fulton family, age 12.
MARTHA AMELIA FULTON died 11 APRIL 1855 at the age of 17 of consumption (tuberculosis).
MARTHA AMELIA FULTON is buried in the Old Fairfield City Cemetery, Lot #52. There are one large tombstone, as indicated in the biography of ALEXANDER FULTON, and five small tombstones, one bearing the name MARTHA A. with no other information.
