WILLIAM C. FULTON was born in Delaware County, Ohio, 13 JANUARY 1836, the fourth of five children born to ALEXANDER and ELIZA JONES FULTON.
We do not have record of WILLIAM C. FULTON'S middle name, although family tradition suggests that it was Christopher.
In the Spring of 1843, seven year old WILLIAM C. FULTON moved to Fairfield, Iowa Territory with his parents, ALEXANDER and ELIZA JONES FULTON; his brothers; ROBERT J., GILBERT LAFAYETTE and JOSEPH WARREN and his sister MARTHA AMELIA.
In the Fairfield Census of 1850 we find WILLIAM C. FULTON listed in the Alexander Fulton family, age 17.
William C. Fulton was a member of the first class of Fairfield University in Fairfield, Iowa.
WILLIAM C. FULTON died 6 MARCH 1856 at the age of 20 years, 3 months of consumption (tuberculosis).
WILLIAM C. FULTON is buried in the Old Fairfield City Cemetery, Lot #52. There are one large tombstone, as indicated in the biography of ALEXANDER FULTON, and five small tombstones, one bearing the name WILLIAM with no other information.
