  1. ALEXANDER ROBERT FULTON was born near Chillicothe, in Delaware County, Ohio, 11 October 1825, the first of eleven known children born to JAMES (GEN. 4) and REBECCA GREEN FULTON.

  2. ALEXANDER ROBERT FULTON graduated from Mr. Pleasant Academy, Kingston, Ross county, Ohio.

  3. In 1851, ALEXANDER ROBERT FULTON moved to Fairfield, Jefferson county, Iowa. It is believed that he accompanied his grandmother, ANN CHRISTOPHER FULTON and his aunt, ANN (ANA, ANNA) NANCY FULTON IMMELL.

  4. In December of 1851, ALEXANDER ROBERT FULTON purchased a partnership in the Fairfield Ledger newspaper in Fairfield, Jefferson county, Iowa, later purchasing full ownership in that publication.

  5. In 1854, ALEXANDER ROBERT FULTON sold the Fairfield Ledger to W. W. Junkin.

  6. ALEXANDER ROBERT FULTON became a surveyor and held the post of county surveyor for Jefferson county, Iowa for ten years.

  7. ALEXANDER ROBERT FULTON was married 20 November 1853 to AUGUSTA WHEELER.

  8. ALEXANDER ROBERT FULTON became interested in politics and served as clerk of the Iowa House of Representatives for three sessions, including the extra session of 1856.

  9. ALEXANDER ROBERT FULTON was elected County Judge of Jefferson county, Iowa in 1861 and was re-elected to that position in 1863.

  10. In 1867, ALEXANDER ROBERT FULTON was elected as Representative in the 12th General Assembly of the state of Iowa.

  11. In 1868, ALEXANDER ROBERT FULTON became an assistant editor and traveling correspondent of the Iowa State Register, a Des Moines, Polk county, Iowa, newspaper.

  12. ALEXANDER ROBERT FULTON died in Des Moines, Polk county, Iowa 29 September 1891.

  13. ALEXANDER ROBERT FULTON is buried in Woodland Cemetery in Des Moines, Polk county, Iowa.
