Anna Nancy Fulton Immell had a very tragic life following her move to Iowa in 1852:

In July of 1854, Anna Nancy Fulton Immell's younger son,
Erastus Immell, died in Fairfield, Iowa, the victim of
consumption. He is buried in the Old Fairfield City Cemetery.

In December of 1854, Anna Nancy Fulton Immell's infant
grandson and grandaughter, the twin children of Dr.
Nelson Reed and Margaret A. Hanson Immell, died in
Fairfield, Iowa.They are buried in the
Old Fairfield City Cemetery.

In March of 1856, Anna Nancy Fulton Immell's four month old
grandson, Waldimir N. Immell, son of Dr. Nelson Reed and
Margaret A. Hanson Immell, died in Fairfield, Iowa.
He is buried in the Old Fairfield City Cemetery.

In May of 1857, Anna Nancy Fulton Immell's mother, Ann
Christopher Fulton, died in Fairfield, Iowa. She is buried in the Old Fairfield City Cemetery.

In March of 1858, Anna Nancy Fulton Immell's other son, Dr.
Nelson Reed Immell, died in Fairfield, Iowa. He is buried in the Old Fairfield City Cemetery.

Six members of Anna Nancy Fulton Immell's family died in less than four years. Three of these deaths occured within five months in 1854.
'The Old Grave Yard Book', of the Old Fairfield City Cemetery, contains the following entry:
Lot #57
E. 1/2 - Mrs. Tressa Immell Nov 11th 1850. (There is a line drawn through this entry).
"Deeded Oct. 10th 1854 - Anna Immell Pd 1.50."
Erastus had died in July of 1854, and was buried in the lot owned by Mrs. Tressa Immell. We do not know who Mrs. Tressa Immell was, or what her relationship might have been to Anna Nancy's husband, John Immell.
