There are deeds for five pieces of land purchased by Alexander and Eliza Jones Fulton between 1843 and 1846.
1843 - RED - In section 26,Fairfield Township: The Alexander Fulton Homestead. 40 acres purchased from the Federal Government.
1843 - YELLOW - In section 29, Fairfield Township: 40 acres purchased by Alexander Fulton from the Federal Government. Probably land purchased for use as a wood lot. (The timber from this land may have been used to build the original log home as well as used for heating that home.
1845 - GREEN - In section 32, Fairfield Township: 40 acres purchased by Eliza Jones Fulton. We do not know why this land was purchased.
1845 - PURPLE - In section 10, Liberty Township: 40 acres purchased by Alexander Fulton as a wood lot. Frederic Carrol Fulton [generation 7, a great grandson of Alexander] remembered being told by his father [Pearl Loyal Fulton] that this land was used for heating wood.
1846 - BLUE - In section 34, Fairfield Township: 40 acres purchased by Alexander Fulton, probably as a wood lot. This was the last piece of land purchased by Alexander.
