HISPANIC/SPANISH STORIES
My Great-grandmother was a Spaniard, and while I was a child we made multiple trips to Mexico which gave me an abiding interest in, and love for Hispanic stories. For years I taught Spanish in Arkansas schools, a profession which provided me the means for extensive research into Spanish culture. As an outgrowth of this research I have created several dynamic first-person characters who spin lovely, lyrical stories of this noble culture.

NATIVE AMERICAN STORIES
My Father's grandmother was a Seneca. Although I never met my paternal Great-grandmother, I delighted to hear my Father tell the stories from the Native American tradition and I enjoy sharing them with others.
GHOST STORIES
Our family had a long, and much loved, tradition of telling scary tales and ghost stories. I am carrying on that tradition which started when I was a very small boy, continued through active ghost-telling sessions in college, and through the researching and writing of four books of ghost stories which were published by August House.
AFRICAN AMERICAN STORIES
As a child I had an African American care-giver. She told me stories from her heritage, and I tell several charming tales from that tradition. (See our book: African American Folktales.
PIONEER AND OZARK STORIES
I have spent much of my youth and into adulthood in the Arkansas-Missouri-Oklahoma Ozarks. One cannot exist in this area without hearing (and experiencing firsthand) a wide spectrum of Ozark life and culture. And certainly this would include tales from pioneeer Ozarkers, as well as a whole host of tall tales and outright lies! I tell many tall tales and children's stories from my country heritage.

TALL TALES
As Richard stated above, it is not possible to live in this area without being exposed to a tradition of Tall Tales and Lies. My life in Oklahoma provided me an unusually rich vein of these tales, and I love to carry on the tradition of telling these tales to young and old.
NATIVE AMERICAN STORIES
My Great-grandmother was Chickasaw. Although I never heard her tell stories of her heritage, I have spent a considerable portion of my life searching out stories of this culture to share with others.
AFRICAN - AMERICAN STORIES
I, too, had a wonderful African-American caregiver named Hazel. She told fascinating stories, and I tell many of the stories of this great culture.
OUTLAW STORIES
Life in Oklahoma is filled with stories of Outlaws and Bandits. This heritage and the research Richard and I have done for the book Outlaw Tales have given me many stories of the classic Old West, many of them never before published. These are true tales, and some are very graphic in their details. As such they are meant to be heard by adults and older children, please.
FAIRY STORIES
These are not standard fairy tales...these come from a rich European heritage that Disney never heard of.
BRITISH ISLES STORIES
These tales have been acquired over many years of research, and from tales I have been told by British guests during my many years as a storyteller at Silver Dollar City. I am happy to be able to share them with many more folks.

STORIES FROM TEXAS HISTORY AND TEXAS HISTORY GHOST STORIES
I was born and grew up in Texas, and Judy's grandparents were natve Texans, and we've heard and learned many thrilling Texas history adventure stories over the years. Our favorites are the Texas history ghost stories!
